Fagor alarm 1040: Canned cycle does not exist

CNC 8055 CNC error · Fagor 8055/8055i

What it means

In MDI mode, a G8x canned cycle was executed after interrupting a program that was itself inside a canned cycle and changing the work plane. The interrupted-cycle context no longer matches, so the CNC treats the cycle as nonexistent.

Likely causes

  • MDI retry of an interrupted canned cycle after a plane change
  • resuming work from MDI instead of restarting the cycle from the program

Triage note: Avoid interrupting programs mid-canned-cycle; restart the cycle block instead.
