Fagor alarm 1106: Travel limits of spindle 2 exceeded

What it means

Second-spindle version of error 1100: the PLC raised LIMIT+S2/LIMIT-S2 because motion attempted to exceed the physical travel limits of spindle 2. Axis and spindle motion stop, enables drop, analog outputs are canceled and, when seen from the position loop, the loop opens with LOPEN=1.

Likely causes

• overtravel of the sub-spindle carriage actuating a limit switch
• faulty LIMIT+S2/LIMIT-S2 sensor or wiring
• bad referencing leaving the sub-spindle coordinate out of range
