Fagor alarm 1182-1190: Following error of * axis out of limit

CNC 8055 CNC error · Fagor 8055/8055i

What it means

The lag between commanded and actual position of the affected axis exceeded MAXFLWE1 (P21) or MAXFLWE2 (P22) of that axis - the classic servo-lag trip. Reaction: motion stop, enables dropped, analog outputs canceled, external emergency relay activated, position loop opened (LOPEN=1) and program interrupted.

Likely causes

  • encoder/feedback cable damage or failing feedback device
  • servo drive fault, missing enable or blown power stage
  • velocity command (+/-10 V) not reaching the drive
  • mechanical binding, stiction or lubrication loss on that axis
  • following-error windows (P21/P22) tuned unrealistically tight

Triage note: Nine-code axis-mapped range (1182 = first axis). Swap feedback connectors between axes to split cable/device vs CNC board faults.
