Fagor alarm 2026: Probe's maximum travel limit overrun.

What it means
During a measuring cycle the probe deflected beyond the maximum travel allowed by its machine parameter - i.e. the stylus bent further than it should ever be pushed. The CNC stops motion and raises the external emergency to protect the probe. Continued probing at this deflection will destroy the stylus or the probe's switching mechanism.
Likely causes
- probing feedrate too high for the stylus length
- wrong expected surface position (bad datum or shifted part)
- stylus too long/flimsy for the application
- parameter for maximum probe deflection set too tight
Triage note: Reduce positioning feed before the probe move, re-check part datum, and inspect the stylus for bending after every occurrence.
