Fagor alarm 2036: The type of keyboard does not match the CNC model

What it means

At startup the 8055 reads the identifier returned by the keyboard and finds it unknown, i.e. the keyboard does not match the CNC configuration (mill vs. lathe keyboard, or a failed ID readback). Fagor lists contacting the Service Department as the remedy, since a wrong keyboard blocks correct key coding.

Likely causes

• swapped or substituted operator panel of the wrong model
• broken keyboard cable or connector interrupting the ID lines
• keyboard microcontroller unable to report its identifier
