Fagor alarm 2042: It is recommended to lower the order of the frequency filter.

CNC 8055 servo error · Fagor 8055/8055i

What it means

Advisory raised at power-up or RESET after changing the FAGOR filter order parameter (axis ORDER P70 or spindle ORDER P67): the configured filter order can produce overshoot in the velocity/position loop. The CNC still stops and cancels outputs when it appears, but the intent is preventive tuning guidance rather than a hardware fault.

Likely causes

  • filter order (a.m.p. ORDER P70 / s.m.p. ORDER P67) set higher than the loop can handle
  • recent parameter change without retuning the related gains

Triage note: Lower the filter order until overshoot disappears; no hardware involved.
