Fagor alarm 2051: Too many feedback pulses.
CNC 8055 hardware/feedback error (analog axes) · Fagor 8055/8055i
What it means
The feedback input of an axis is receiving pulses above what the counting electronics can process at the commanded speed - practically always the result of a gear ratio (or direct-drive coupling) that multiplies encoder frequency beyond the input limit at the programmed feedrate. The CNC halts and opens the loop rather than risk losing counts.
Likely causes
- axis gear ratio parameter mismatched to the actual gearbox
- feedrate/G00 rapid too high for the installed encoder line count
- encoder mounted with wrong pulley ratio after a retrofit
- parameter GEARRATIO/setpoint combination inconsistent
Triage note: Recompute pulses-per-mm against the mechanical ratio and correct GEARRATIO or reduce rapid; no component is failing.
