What it means
Generic machine error raised from the ladder: the PLC program set one or more of the marks ERR1 through ERR64 to "1" without attaching a message text. The builder's logic uses these marks for machine-specific interlocks (lubrication, pressure, guards, tool clamping), so motion stops until the originating condition clears. The CNC itself and its servo hardware have not detected a fault.
Likely causes
- machine-builder interlock active (pressure, lubrication level, guard)
- sensor feeding the PLC logic failed or disconnected
- ladder bug setting ERR marks spuriously
- operator sequence violating a machine condition (door, clamp)
Triage note: Inspect ERR1-ERR64 in the PLC diagnosis screen to find which mark is set, then trace its ladder rung; the fix is almost never in the CNC.
