Fagor alarm 3705: Home search required

What it means

The spindle lost its reference (home) when switching from open loop to closed loop. Without a valid reference the CNC cannot guarantee correct position in closed loop, so a new home search is demanded before closed-loop operation resumes.

Likely causes

• spindle rotated while in open loop, losing synchronism with the reference mark
• encoder I0/Z reference pulse missed during the open-loop period
• feedback interruption during the open-loop to closed-loop transition
