Fagor alarm 3736: The axis has moved while the CNC was off

CNC 8060/8065/8070 servo/feedback error · Fagor 8060/8065/8070

What it means

Drive-stored absolute coordinate disagrees with the value saved in the last CNC session.

Likely causes

  • axis genuinely drifted (thermal, counterweight sag, brake creep) - benign if small
  • absolute scale lost counts while unpowered (head power glitch)
  • multi-turn encoder battery dead allowing revolution-count loss
  • scale tape slipped on its mounting

Triage note: Verify actual position mechanically (dial/indicator) before trusting either value. Recurring overnight drift with stable temperature = replace the feedback, not the CNC.
