Fagor alarm 4005: Following error monitoring not active at the drive

CNC 8060/8065/8070 SERCOS error · Fagor 8060/8065/8070

What it means

Fagor safety rules require following-error monitoring both in the CNC and in the drive; drive parameter PP159 disables/enables it and was found inactive. The CNC refuses normal operation so the axis can never run without lag supervision.

Likely causes

  • PP159 set to 0 (monitoring off) in the drive
  • drive parameters restored from a non-compliant backup
  • parameter write to the drive failed during validation
