What it means
Drive detected excessive current through its power stage (instantaneous trip, PWM cut, category 0 stop).
Likely causes
- motor power cable shorted or grounded (coolant ingress at connector)
- motor winding insulation failure
- IGBT power stage failure inside the drive module
- wrong motor data/current parameters causing overshoot
Triage note: If the trip occurs with the motor cable DISCONNECTED, the drive power stage is at fault; if not, isolate cable vs motor with an insulation test.
