Fagor alarm 6004: Error when initializing the BUS CAN

What it means

At CNC 8060/8065 startup the COMPCI CAN interface failed to initialize, so the CAN keyboard and/or remote nodes cannot be started. The accompanying code distinguishes CANopen failures (14 = COMPCI microprocessor reset trouble, 15 = slave connection/configuration problems) from CANfagor ones (-1/-10/-11 = COMPCI or remote-node hardware test failures, -7/-8 = node identification conflicts).

Likely causes

• COMPCI card not seated or failing its hardware test
• two nodes set to the same group/address combination
• CANopen slaves present but not matching the configured bus
