Fagor alarm 6006: One or several CAN nodes do not respond

What it means

During execution the CNC loses contact with one or more remote nodes (I/O groups, keyboards) because they reset, short out or perform poorly. With the CANfagor protocol the code tells how many nodes were lost (-3/-4/-5 = 1/2/3 nodes, -1/-6 = more than three); with CANopen it flags timeout (2), toggle-bit error (3) or a node answering in the wrong state (4), and the error window names the offending module.

Likely causes

• node 24 V supply dropout or brown-out
• CAN cable damage, bad crimp or water ingress at one tee junction
• failed remote module dragging the bus down
