What it means
CAN bus initialization timed out, commonly because the bus is disturbed or because the machine was switched off/on again too quickly for nodes to release the bus. Work through the integrity checklist: unique addresses, COMPCI node selector at 0, terminators, grounding, cable continuity, node supplies.

- off/on cycling faster than node reset time
- duplicate CAN addresses or COMPCI selector not 0
- missing/dual bus termination, grounding fault
- damaged CAN cable or connectors
