What it means
The local (integrated) I/O of the 8060/8065 central unit ICU/MCU signals an over-current condition. The protection trips to save the driver stages; the machine stops because PLC inputs tied to that I/O become invalid.
Likely causes
- shorted actuator or chafed wire on a local output point
- moisture/coolant bridging output terminals
- failed local I/O driver stage
Triage note: Disconnect local output harnesses and re-arm one bundle at a time to isolate the shorted point.
