What it means
The compiler reached end-of-file without finding the END statement terminating a module or subroutine. Every PEP module/subroutine must close properly, so truncated files (failed transfer, partial paste) are the usual culprit. Add the missing END or restore the truncated section.
Likely causes
- file truncated during transfer/edit
- END line deleted accidentally
- nested subroutine closed in wrong order
