Fagor alarm E005: Program code checksum error

What it means
The checksum of the executable code loaded in the drive does not match, so the firmware cannot be trusted to run. Fagor's remedy is to reload the drive software; if the fault returns, the RAM, FLASH memory or the loaded code itself is defective. Non-resettable: cleared only by correcting the cause and powering the unit down and back up.
Likely causes
- interrupted or corrupted software load attempt
- FLASH memory chip failure on the VeCon/SerCon electronics
- RAM defect in the drive control section
