Fagor alarm E108: Motor overheated

What it means
Motor KTY/PTO temperature sensor via the feedback cable reports over-temperature (warning A.002 precedes on FM7 spindles).
Likely causes
- application demanding repeated current peaks beyond motor thermal rating
- blocked motor cooling (fan cover felt/lint on self-cooled or forced units)
- temperature-sensor conductors in the feedback cable damaged (false reading)
Triage note: Measure sensor resistance at the drive connector vs motor datasheet: open/short = cable or sensor; correct value while motor feels hot = genuine overheat, address duty/cooling.
