Fagor alarm E160: Following error during emergency-stop braking ramp

What it means

While stopping in an emergency, the actual speed no longer tracks the deceleration ramp bounded by parameters SP71/SP72. Heavy rotating inertia - exactly what a spindle represents - makes this trip if braking demand exceeds what the drive and ballast can absorb. Resettable after adjusting the stop behavior.

Likely causes

• deceleration demand too aggressive for spindle + toolholder inertia
• ballast/regeneration capacity insufficient for repeated fast stops
• SP71/SP72 window set tighter than the mechanical system can follow
• mechanical drag change (bearing preload, brake drag) altering the ramp
