Fagor alarm E201: Motor overload (motor I2t protection tripped)

What it means
The thermal model of the spindle motor computed an I²t duty beyond the motor rating. Continuous heavy cutting near the thermal limit, blocked cooling airflow, or a derated (hot) motor will trigger it. Letting the model cool down clears the condition; repeated trips mean the duty cycle or cooling must change.
Likely causes
- duty cycle beyond motor S1/S6-40% rating (heavy roughing)
- clogged spindle-motor fan or blocked ventilation in motor bell housing
- motor thermistor circuit reading high (KTY84/PT100 drift)
- wrong motor current data after parameter/motor-table edits
Triage note: Compare PV (motor temperature variable) in WinDDSSetup against ambient: a sensor stuck high trips I²t with a cold motor.
