Fagor alarm E205: Insufficient voltage for demanded working conditions

What it means

The drive asked for more voltage than the DC bus can deliver - typically an asynchronous spindle pushed toward rated speed under heavy load. Weak mains (sagging bus), overly aggressive accel, or operating far out on the motor's torque-speed curve produce it. From software 06.12 it produces a category 1 stop instead of category 0.

Likely causes

• mains voltage low or high line impedance collapsing the bus at speed
• acceleration/feed demands beyond the motor's field-weakening range
• one loose phase while the motor is at speed
• gear ratio forcing operation above economical speed
