Fagor alarm E213: Under-voltage at the driver of the IGBT

What it means

Supply voltage to the IGBT gate-triggering circuits inside the drive fell below the level needed to keep the power switches properly driven. Fagor notes the IGBT driver stage or the IGBT itself may be defective; reset once, and replace hardware if it persists. Continuing to run risks destructive shoot-through of the power stage.

Likely causes

• IGBT gate-driver supply (bootstrap/driver IC) failure on the power board
• degraded IGBT module drawing excessive gate current
• internal ribbon/connector between control and power stages
