Fagor alarm E214: Short-circuit at the drive module

What it means
A short-circuit was detected at the drive output stage, cutting PWM immediately (category 0 stop). After eliminating the cause the error can be reset; if it comes straight back, the manual points to wrong power cable sequence, cables touching each other, bad parameters or a faulty drive.
Likely causes
- phase-phase or phase-ground short in motor cable (coolant ingress at connectors is typical)
- motor winding breakdown to frame
- power cables mis-sequenced or chafed through insulation
- failed IGBT bridge in the module
