Fagor alarm E308: Over-current in the regeneration circuit

What it means
Excessive current was measured in the regeneration path that returns braking energy toward the mains (XPS/RPS). Fagor lists contacting Fagor Automation as the action, since the regen bridge and its current sensing are internal. On older XPS faceplates this state corresponds to the red+amber LED combination.
Likely causes
- regeneration bridge (line-side IGBT) failure
- regen current-sense circuitry fault
- mains distortion interacting badly with the regen chopper
