Fagor alarm E316: Compact drive DC bus took too long to charge

What it means
In compact drives (ACD/SCD/CMC), the SoftStart-type charge of the DC bus exceeded the 4-second allowance, so startup was aborted. The manual directs verifying the crowbar (internal or external) connection, the condition of the internal crowbar/SoftStart resistor, and the internal current-limiting fuse in that circuit. This error cannot be disabled.

- soft-start/crowbar resistor open after years of thermal cycling
- internal soft-start fuse blown
- external crowbar wiring loose or wrongly routed
- excessive capacitive load on the bus (extra CM modules)
