Fagor alarm E604: Saturation in A and/or B signals of the MOTOR feedback (with E605: signals too low/damped)
DDS drive display code (AXD/SPD/ACD/SCD seven-segment) · Fagor DDS drives
What it means
Sinusoidal rotor-feedback amplitudes clip (too high, RP1-RP4 up-set) or collapse (too low, RP-set down / genuine signal loss) at drive input X4.
Likely causes
- motor feedback cable damaged or shield terminated badly
- integral sinusoidal encoder amplitude drifting with age/heat
- RP1-RP4 interpolation gains mismatched after encoder/motor change
- X4 CAPMOTOR board input stage failing
Triage note: Read RV9 consecutive-error counter live: rising while flexing the cable at the motor exit = cable; stable but amplitude out of band = encoder/board. Mirrors CNC alarms 4007-class (errors 602/603).
