Fagor alarm E606: Excessive dispersion in rotor sensor signals
DDS drive display code (AXD/SPD/ACD/SCD seven-segment) · Fagor DDS drives
What it means
Signal quality of the rotor-position sensor has deteriorated beyond the allowed dispersion, typically showing as jittery commutation on synchronous motors. Fagor lists the rotor sensor cable, encoder, X4 board and ground bonding as items to inspect. Poor shielding/ground loops often show here before outright channel failure.
Likely causes
- shield bonding broken at motor or drive end
- rotor sensor cable degraded by heat/oil
- encoder bearing wear modulating signal amplitude
- ground potential differences between motor and cabinet
