Fagor alarm E607: Saturation in A and/or B signals of the DIRECT feedback (with E608: signals too low/damped)

What it means
Same amplitude-window failure as E604 but on the linear-scale input (X3): scale signal clips or fades below usable level.
Likely causes
- traveling cable fatigue fractures near the drag-chain exit
- scale head LED aging - amplitude decay (E608 signature)
- coolant film on the scale window attenuating light
- RP51-RP54 gains wrong after head replacement
Triage note: E607 (clipping) is often just RP51-54 set too hot after a head swap - recalibrate before replacing. E608 (fade) trends physical: cable, optics, then board. Mirrors CNC alarms 4123/4124.
