Fagor alarm E805: Encoder detected although resolver configured (GP2 mismatch)

What it means

Parameter GP2 declares a resolver but the connected motor feedback identifies itself as an encoder, so configuration and hardware disagree. Typically the motor was exchanged for one with different feedback, or GP2 was never updated. Set GP2 coherently with the installed feedback type to clear.

Likely causes

• motor swapped for a variant with encoder instead of resolver
• GP2 left at default after maintenance
• parameter file loaded from a different axis configuration
