Fagor alarm E822: FAGOR SSI: Supply voltage out of range (5.3 V > V > 4.1 V)

What it means
The 5 V feed reaching the absolute encoder/scale head is out of regulation - head starved or over-volted.
Likely causes
- encoder power conductors damaged / high-resistance crimp
- cable length beyond spec causing voltage drop (extension added without recalculation)
- drive X3/X4 supply regulator drifting
Triage note: Measure 5 V AT THE HEAD connector, not the drive: <4.6 V there with 5.0 V at drive = cable resistance problem; low at both ends = drive supply stage.
