What it means
Spindle motor overheat - inside temperature of motor exceeds specified level.
Likely causes
- Spindle motor cooling fan/blower stopped
- Liquid-cooling system fault (liquid-cooled motors)
- Ambient temperature out of spec
- Feedback cable faulty (trip with cold motor)
- Motor internal thermostat faulty
Triage note: CNC numbers: SP0001 (15i) / 9001 or 7n01 (16i/18i/0i). Trip with a cold motor points to cable/thermostat, not real overheating.
