Fanuc alarm 02: Excessive speed deviation
αi SPM · Fanuc αi SPM
What it means
On the αi spindle amplifier module the actual motor speed deviates greatly from the commanded speed. Typically seen during acceleration with too-short accel/deceleration parameters, wrong speed-detector parameters, or when cutting load exceeds available motor output.
Likely causes
- Accel/deceleration time parameter too short (e.g. No. 4082 on 16i/0i)
- Cutting load exceeds motor output rating
- Speed detector parameter or sensor feedback incorrect
- Mechanical lock or heavy drag on spindle
Triage note: Parameter-side first: rarely an SPM hardware fault.
