What it means
Main circuit overload / IPM overheat - heat sink of SPM overtemperature. Issued on SPM-15i and larger; SPM-2.2i to 11i report alarm 12 for the same condition.
Likely causes
- SPM cooling fan stopped (check CX1A/B fan feed)
- Heat sink caked with dust/coolant mist
- Load above continuous rating
- Control PCB not fully seated
- SPM faulty (trips with cold, lightly loaded sink)
Triage note: CNC: SP0009 / 9009. Dirty heatsinks from coolant mist are the classic root cause; blow out before condemning hardware.
