What it means
Indicated on Power Mate / Beta I/O Link servo units when a data-transfer alarm was issued for the battery-powered memory - the transfer of retained data between memory areas at power-up or save/restore operations failed. Usually accompanies or follows another memory/battery indication on the same unit.
Likely causes
- Low or absent battery voltage during a memory transfer
- Internal memory hardware fault
- Transfer attempted with corrupted retained data
Triage note: Treat together with code 292/E indications: replace battery first, then exchange the unit if the LED persists.
