Fanuc alarm OT0507: - OVER TRAVEL (HARD)

What it means
The negative-direction stroke limit switch tripped — a physical switch, not a software check. Feed stops immediately; during automatic operation all axes halt, while in jog only the offending axis stops. Jog out in the opposite direction and reset. Repeated trips at normal working positions suggest a failing switch, bent striker dog, or wiring intermittency.
Likely causes
- Genuine overtravel into mechanical end of travel
- Limit switch sticking or chattering
- Striker/dog displaced or loose
- Switch wiring intermittently opening
