What it means

A macro attempted to assign a value to a variable that may only be read — write-protected system variables appear on the left side of an expression. Use a writable variable as the assignment target.

Likely causes

• Assignment to read-only system variable (e.g. position/modal data)
• Typo in variable number targeting protected area
