Fanuc alarm SP0752: SPINDLE MODE CHANGE ERROR
spindle alarm (mode switching) · Fanuc 0i-D
What it means
The CNC issued a mode change between spindle control, Cs contour control, spindle positioning (T series) or rigid tapping mode, and the transition did not complete correctly because the spindle amplifier did not acknowledge the command. The serial spindle handshake sequence failed partway through the switch.
Likely causes
- Spindle amplifier firmware/hardware failing to respond to mode commands
- Noise or a marginal serial spindle interface connection
- Incorrect spindle switching/torque limit PMC sequence delaying acknowledgement
