Fanuc alarm SP1976: SERIAL SPINDLE COMMUNICATION ERROR

What it means
The amplifier number could not be established for the serial spindle amplifier during initialization of the serial spindle link. The CNC could not assign the configured spindle number to the physical amplifier on the JYA2/JYDB interface.
Likely causes
- Serial spindle cable (JYA2/JYA3) unplugged, damaged or miswired
- Wrong number of spindles/amplifiers configured versus parameters
- Amplifier not powered or failed before handshaking completed
