What it means
The heat sink of the spindle amplifier module overheated; its thermal sensor operated. Heat generated by the power devices exceeded the cooling capacity of the amplifier.
Likely causes
- Stopped or clogged SPM cooling fan
- Blocked amplifier cabinet ventilation or heat exchanger fouling
- Continuous operation above the amplifier rating
- Deteriorated thermal transfer between power devices and heat sink
