What it means
The DC link voltage rose above the rated maximum and was detected by the power supply module. Commonly triggered when a high-inertia spindle decelerates faster than regeneration can absorb, or when the supply selection is wrong for the connected amplifiers.
Likely causes
- Regenerative discharge capacity insufficient for the deceleration profile
- Incorrect PSM sizing/selection versus connected spindle and servo amps
- Supply voltage fluctuation riding on top of an already-high line
- Malfunctioning converter/regen circuit in the PSM
