What it means
The control program ROM of the spindle amplifier failed verification: its contents could not be read back consistently, or the device is not seated correctly. Without trustworthy program storage the SPM processor cannot start, so the amplifier latches this alarm at power-up.
Likely causes
- Faulty or partially unseated program ROM device on the control board
- Board-level damage affecting the ROM bus or socket
- Wrong ROM fitted after an uncontrolled board swap
