What it means
Serial data transfer between the CNC and the spindle amplifier stopped completely. Unlike the ordinary transfer-error display seen whenever the CNC is powered down, this occurs while the CNC should be communicating normally.
Likely causes
- Serial spindle interface cable severed or connectors unseated
- Amplifier control power lost
- Failed SIC communication hardware on either end
