What it means
An excessive load was applied to the spindle for a short time and the amplifier's short-term overload monitor tripped. The motor current exceeded the allowable transient envelope, usually reflecting a sudden mechanical seizure or a heavy interrupted cut.
Likely causes
- Stalled workpiece, tool breakage or chuck grip slip
- Spindle bearing seizure beginning
- Cutting parameters demanding more torque than the drive allows
