Fanuc alarm SP9033: SHORTAGE POWER CHARGE (PSM FAULTY)

What it means
The DC link was not charged to the expected voltage within the specified time after the main contactor closed. The pre-charge circuit failed to bring the capacitor bank up, so the amplifier refuses to enter the ready state.
Likely causes
- Magnetic contactor sequence wrong or closing too late (check CX48 monitoring wiring)
- Deteriorated DC link capacitors or failed pre-charge resistor
- Open phase or low/unbalanced input voltage
- Phase-sequence mismatch between monitoring input and main circuit
Triage note: Often appears alongside SV0442; verify contactor timing and CX48 wiring first.
