An error occurred in the one-revolution signal of the position coder used for spindle orientation/threading. The mark pulse arrived malformed or at an implausible time relative to the A/B channels.
Likely causes
- Failing position coder electronics
- Intermittent cable/connection on the Z (mark) channel
- Mechanical slippage of the coder ring
