What it means
The difference between motor speed and the speed converted to spindle terms through the gear ratio exceeded the allowable value. In geared spindles the amplifier cross-checks both feedback sources; divergence means slipping, wrong ratio data or a feedback fault.

- Gearbox slippage or clutch malfunction
- Incorrect gear ratio parameters
- Failure of either the motor sensor or spindle-side coder
