What it means
Excessive regenerative power was detected during deceleration, corresponding to the converter's regenerative-discharge alarm. The energy pumped back into the DC link by the spinning spindle exceeded the discharge capability, raising bus voltage toward dangerous levels.
Likely causes
- Deceleration ramps too fast for the connected inertia
- Converter regen circuit (discharge resistor/transistor) failed
- PSM undersized for the kinetic energy being braked
