What it means
The one-revolution signal of the external spindle sensor (e.g. BZ/MZ type) is generated at an incorrect angular location relative to the spindle. Orientation targets and thread-start points shift accordingly, so the drive flags the misalignment instead of orienting to an unknown reference.
Likely causes
- Sensor bracket rotated or loosened after mechanical service
- Incorrect orientation-stop parameter versus actual sensor clocking
- Slipped sensor coupling between spindle and sensor
