Fanuc alarm SP9088: COOLING FAN ON RADIATOR STOPPED (SPM FAULTY)

What it means
The external radiator cooling fan of the spindle amplifier stopped, detected by its rotation sensor. This fan cools the finned heat sink carrying power-device losses, so the amplifier shuts down to prevent thermal destruction.
Likely causes
- Failed radiator fan motor or bearing
- Fan wiring/connector fault
- Fins and impeller clogged with dust swarf
